Abstract
Abstract The presence of nitrogen and phosphorus elements in the surface waters of Sebou and Oum Er Rbia rivers is a problem that worsens from year to year due to the development of industrial and agricultural activities. The objective of this study is to make a spatial assessment of contamination by total nitrogen, ammonium, nitrates and total phosphorus according to the classification grid for surface water (decree n ° 1275-01, 2002). This would highlight the problem of pollution of these rivers. In this sense, we conducted a sampling campaign on 13 sampling points in Sebou River, and 8 points in Oum Er Rbia River in April 2018. The results of the analyzes showed that the samples of collected water are sufficiently contaminated especially at the level of Sebou. Likewise, a physico-chemical characterization was carried out on the parameters temperature, dissolved oxygen, hydrogen potential and conductivity. The interpretation of the results obtained was made based on the Moroccan standard for surface water.KeywordSebouOum Er RbiaPhosphorusNitrogen elementsClassification gridSurface waterContaminationMorocco
