Abstract

To determine the level of physical development of the children involved in the study. The main indicators of their physical development were assessed by the method of standards and height-weight index of the WHO. The height rates of all girls and 96 percent of boys were within the normal range. The determination of conformity degree of body weight and its height by the index method showed that only 42 percent of the boys were within the norms, the rest of the boys were overweight (pre-obesity) and different degrees of obesity. The indicators of 27 percent of the girls were normal, in the rest of cases, overweight and varying degrees of obesity were also observed. To assess physical preparation, the results of the children's fitness tests were assessed with age normative and model scales. During the analysis, it was revealed: 73 percent of boys and 85 percent of girls had endurance indicators (running 1000 m boys and 500 m girls) at the level of average and below average; indicators of speed of movement (20-meter sprint from the course) in 71 percent of boys were high and above average level, and 88 percent of girls)_average, above average and high; the indicators of strength for pulling up on the crossbar in 71 percent of boys were at the above average level, in 45 percent of girls the indicators of push-ups on the gymnastic bench were at a high level; the indicators of speed-strength for jumping from a place in 70 percent of boys and girls were at the level of average and above average; in 94 percent of boys and girls, the results of the sit and reach test were at a low level. A low level of physical performance was also revealed: according to the Rufier-Dixon test, 56 percent of the pupils had indicators at a level below average, 14 percent had an unsatisfactory level.
