Abstract

The aim of the work was to study the effectiveness of the drugs "Gabapentin" and "Flexoprofen" in the relief of pain syndrome of varying severity in dogs and cats. To do this, the degree of pain syndrome was determined using the key principles of pain recognition recommended by WSAVA. Further, depending on the results obtained, mono - and multimodal therapy with Gabapentin and Flexoprofen was performed. The therapeutic efficacy was evaluated using a general and biochemical blood test with a mandatory study of electrolytes. The study established the indicators of the electrolyte balance in dogs and cats with pain syndrome, which expand and complement the idea of this pathology.
