Abstract

SPring-8 is the largest synchrotron radiation facility in the world. In SPring-8, a number of techniques have been developed which are useful in evaluating characteristics of bone structure. Especially, high-resolution 3D tomography and X-ray diffraction are powerful and widely used methods. It is expected that SPring-8 will be utilized by a wide range of scientists including those working on bone morphometry.
