Abstract
Organisation culture and individual behaviour are two aspects of knowledge management (KM), which are inextricably linked. So, it becomes very important at the onset of the KM journey to assess the values, attitudes and behaviours of the people in the organisation that constitute barriers to seeking, sharing and using knowledge. The research reported here focuses on the development of a framework and approach for behaviour assessment of people in the organisation towards the initiative of KM before the implementation. The framework and approach can be directly used as a base for any manufacturing organisation for behaviour assessment. The behaviour assessment framework has been demonstrated through a real-life case study in an Indian textile machinery manufacturing company.
