Today, lithium-ion batteries are vital to society due to the global shift toward renewable energy sources and electric mobility. Lithium batteries' sustainability, availability, and resilience have become key concerns as a critical component of electric vehicles and energy storage systems. This paper presents a comprehensive assessment of the impacts associated with domestic lithium processing capacity expansion on the broader battery supply chain.
