This paper reports the result of study on alternative project delivery methods for road construction in Indonesia as way to improve the quality of national road system. The study is the first step toward identifying the potential application of alternative delivery method for the national road network system. The paper also summarizes the survey results from road agencies and contractor concerning the current road project delivery system as well as attempts to assess the viability of implementing design-build and performance-based contract approach.
