Abstract

For the performance assessment of the multi-hop data transmission controlled by the reactive routing protocols such as AODV and DSR in wireless sensor networks (WSNs), a static model and a mobile model of wireless sensor networks are proposed. Especially, a specific kind of energy-consumption metric for assessing the multi-hop data transmission performance of the reactive routing protocols in static or mobile WSNs is also introduced in this paper. The experiments show the performance comparison of the multi-hop data transmission controlled by the two reactive routing protocols in static or mobile WSN scenarios.
