Abstract
Preparations for this summer's annual ASR Meeting on August 11th and 12th are now in full swing. Because this year marks ASR's 75th anniversary, we are planning a Special Presidential Panel which will include a number of ASR's past presidents. The Presidential Address will be given by Fred Kniss, and the Furfey Lecture will be delivered by Nancy Ammerman. Everyone who arrives at the conference hotel before 9 p.m. on August 10th is invited to attend the New Members Welcoming Reception, which is co-sponsored by Brill in honor of the publication of the 23rd volume of the Religion and the Social Order series, co-published by ASR and Brill. There is a free drink for everyone, and the 2013 volume of the series, Testing Pluralism: Globalizing Belief, Localizing Gods, co-edited by Giuseppe Giordan and series editor Bill Swatos will be released at this time.
