Abstract
In many ways, the Association for the Sociology of Religion has enjoyed much success over the past year and is in excellent shape as we enter 2019. The planning for our 2019 meeting in New York—“Engaging Religion in a Contested Age”—is well underway, and we continue moving forward with Oxford University Press as the publisher of our journal and Gerardo Marti as its editor. The 2019 is being organized by our Program Committee, ASR 2019 President, Paula D. Nesbitt, our Program Chair, Holly Folk, and me as your Executive Officer. Our hotel will be the Park Central Hotel New York, located at 870 Seventh Avenue, just steps away from the ASA hotel. The area is surrounded by local eateries and cafes and is a few blocks away from Times Square and several theaters. If you like musicals, plays, comedy, and so on, be sure to check out a show. Get your tickets early for high demand performances!
