Abstract
Preparations for this summer’s annual meeting are now in full swing. The meeting will be held August 11–13, 2019, at the Park Central Hotel, New York, located just a short distance from the main ASA conference hotels. We will begin with a joint welcoming reception with the ASA Religion Section on the evening of Sunday, August 11. (This is also the ASA Sociology of Religion Section day.) We will announce the winners of our awards and introduce our newly elected officers. The Furfey Lecture will be delivered by Peter Beyer on Monday evening, August 12, and the Presidential Address will be given by Paula D. Nesbitt on Tuesday evening, August 13. The ASA Sociology of Religion Section day is on Monday, August 22. The meeting program is shaping up nicely. If you have not yet made your hotel reservations, please do so immediately because the ASR room block is selling out quickly, and ASR’s discounted room rate is good only through Friday, July 19.
