Abstract

Bautier Elisabeth - "Sociocognitive aspects of language : a few hypotheses". The analysis of the speech productions of youths with training difficulties intends to evince the different aspects of language functioning where can appear the social belonging of both speaker and speech (lexical and syntactic encoding, placing within interaction, discursive behaviours...). « Social inscribing » does not mean only what would be dealt with by a socio-linguistics type analysis. It also involves taking into account such elements as can correspond to certain cognitive working types when they underly language using in a given situation and the relationship to that last. Modes of cognitive funtioning and relationship to language are built up in the characteristics of socialization and social identity construction The first part deals with recent work in sociolinguistics and psycholinguistics that can justify our analysis hypotheses.
