Abstract

Type I neurofibromatosis (NF1) or von Recklinghausen’s disease is a hereditary disease characterized by skin lesions and increased risk of benign and malignant tumors, especially intracranial gliomas. Patients younger than 50 with NF1 have increased risk of breast cancer. Here we present a case of a NF1 patient diagnosed with unilateral breast cancer at our institution.
