Abstract

This study estimates the direct, indirect and induced impacts of agribusiness exports on the value of production, value added and employment using the input-output analysis. The results show that the direct, indirect and induced effects on the value of production, value added and employment of its sectors are 51.45%, 41.77% and 66.09%, respectively. The induced effects predominated in impacts on production and value added. However, in relation to the impact on employment, the direct effects are the most relevant. It is also observed that the exports of the agricultural sector are the ones that show the highest direct, indirect and induced impacts on production value, value added and employment. The trade sector, in turn, has the highest indirect and induced effects.
