Abstract

This article is the result of a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research and aims to analyze the contributions of human resources internal consulting model for the alignment between people and business strategy. The study consists of two stages. The exploratory stage contemplates the view of experts in managing people about the internal consulting model of human resources, and the descriptive stage presents the case study of a large company located in Southern Brazil. Data were collected through structured and semi-structured interviews, and documents which were analyzed using the content analysis technique. The theorists consulted were: Block (2013), Mancia (1997, 2010), Alberton, Mancia and Borba (2009), Orlickas (2012), Leite et al. (2009) Teixeira et al. (2005), Marras (2011) among others. The results demonstrate that the internal consulting model of human resources, associated to the policies and practices of people management, contributes to the alignment between people and the strategy of the enterprise, to facilitate communication and foster a relation of partnership and trust.
