Abstract

Cultural routes result from the mobility and cultural sharing between communities or ethnic groups belonging to different cultures. This relationship contains a multi-layered cultural accumulation. Cultural routes; preferred to preserve historical and architectural values through travel. Aim: The aim of this study is to propose a holistic conservation method for the protection and operability of the inns that are currently functional and idle inns in the Ankara Khans Region. Method: A literature review about the cultural route has been made, functions of the inns in the region have been examined. Cultural routes proposal was created. Results: Among the inns in the region; It has been observed that Rençber inn, Kıbrıs inn, Yenisaray inn and Yeni inn are idle and their protection measures are not taken, while in Kıbrıs inn, static deterioration has occurred as a result of neglect. Conclusion: Route suggestions based on SWOT analysis data; It has been determined that it has an important potential for the development and promotion of the region with the interventions required by the changing tourism understanding. Transformation and use of regional inns; It has been determined that it will positively affect the holistic transformation of the environment.
