Abstract

Plasma BNP, a noble biomarker, increases proportionately with increasing left ventricular pressure. It is well documented that plasma BNP increases in left ventricular systolic dysfunction. Our study is to evaluate the role of plasma BNP level in early diagnosis of left ventricular diastolic dysfunction in patients with risk factors like hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, ischemic heart disease.
