Abstract

The article deals with the connection between concepts of artistic perception, personal artistic values, and emotional intelligence. The essence of artistic perception as a methodological guide for the search for artistic and educational technologies is specified. The author defines artistic perception as a dynamic process of person’s permanent immersing into a work of art and as an integral phenomenon that has procedure, unfolding step by step: the acceptance of personality by emotional impulses, which sends the work of art as an objective artistic value in its perception and creation; their emotional experience and comprehension by a person who relies on psychological mechanisms of artistic empathy and reflection; self-reflection of impressions and emotions regarding the work, which allows it to be introduced into one’s own inner world and enables the mechanism of formation of personal artistic value.The projection of the essence of artistic perception on the key positions of emotional intelligence definition is carried out. It has been shown that common positions are based on a comparison with intrapersonal and interpersonal types of intelligence (H. Gardner) and emotional skills (D. R. Caruso, P. Salovey) related to different gradations of emotional manifestations, namely, response and identification of personal emotions and emotions of other people, the internal control of their emotions and the management of external manifestations, the ability to arbitrarily evoke of emotions. Moreover, in the process of artistic perception, these components of emotional intelligence are extrapolated to the gradual entry into the emotional world of the work and its comprehension.
