ARTISTIC PATHOS OF THE 20TH CENTURY IN SERGEI PROKOFIEV’S PIANO CONCERTOS: PERFORMANCE AND PEDAGOGICAL INTERPRETATION

Abstract

Sergei Prokofiev’s piano concertos became a significant contribution to the world art. The innovation of the musical language, high technical complexity, original form designs, the complex nature of musical images cause a number of performing and pedagogical problems. Thus, the Second Concerto combines the reliance on the classical traditions and the national Russian flavour.
