Abstract

Herein is a report of 6 children who presented with total urinary incontinence secondary to neurogenic bladder dysfunction and following functional closure of bladder exstrophy. A two-stage approach has been adopted in 5; the prosthesis was implanted and deactivated then subsequently activated. A successful result was achieved in 5 of 6 cases.
