Abstract

This chapter first discusses what good governance means and why it is so important for society. It is the public governance that lacks a centralized AI framework. Several key characteristics of good governance have been identified, including active participation of citizens in the governance process, transparency, accountability, and empowerment of women. These attributes are essential to achieving good governance. However, many other traits can help create good governance in organizations. Next, the authors explain the good governance characteristics that AI can manage, and some sample use cases for the same have been provided. They also explain how the government could organize itself to use AI best. These examples can help establish digital and trustworthy governance with the help of AI.
