Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques stand poised to redefine the face of radiology. Far from mere technological novelty, AI products have received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorizations in increasing numbers (1) with applications spanning the gamut from image interpretation and protocoling to physician workflow management and radiologic-pathologic correlation (2). AI may represent the future of radiology, but no commensurate training pathway for radiologists is currently available.
