Abstract
This text discusses a conception of life as formthe Greek tragedy in manuscript by Nietzsche: “The originof tragedy, proceeding from the spirit of music”. In the firstplace we present the relation of admiration followed by thebreach between Nietzsche and the music of young Wagner,when he adopts a purely esthetic or idealist-pessimistmeaning of the Wagnerian artistic creation. Then, it isshown that in the undergrounds of the Greek instincts whichare expressed symbolically in the mystic configuration oftheir art, there is in operation a world view, a conception oflife in which Apollonius and Dionysius, although theycontend or make amends, have their coherence andinterweave a definite direction. In the tragic, the philosophersees the true nature of reality. The esthetic theme becomes afundamental ontological principle and art is the key whichwill open to him the essential existence of the world.
