Abstract

The article highlights current issues of contemporary artistic and aesthetic education and upbringing. In the modern theory of aesthetic education and educational practice, considerable attention is paid to the development of such concepts as aesthetic experience and aesthetic consciousness, artistic and aesthetic education, aesthetic values and ideals. In the process of artistic and aesthetic education, the individual builds his worldview, which contributes to the spiritual and moral self-improvement, the renewal of dialogical culture, the formation of universal and self-identical values. The educational need is to make it possible for an individual to feel being a high-grade participant of the artistic processes taking place in the society on the basis of the artistic and aesthetic worldview formation. Artistic and aesthetic education helps in developing a common vision of the world, involves a person into the world treasury of art and culture and achieving the main goal – the formation of an integral, creatively developed individuality that lives according to the laws of beauty. In particular, the formation of value identities and personal inner world of an individual, his general cultural competence, upbringing of his aesthetic relation to reality, art and world outlooks are considered. The attention is focused on the core life guides and the consciousness of creatively developed individuality. The direct individual attitude to art, national traditions, cultural life of a society and interaction with the world around is defined. Art contributes to the personal artistic and aesthetic development and stimulates the individual's readiness for participation in various forms of cultural social life. Using art as the main factor of aesthetic education, a teacher takes into account the age features of schoolchildren. The article is based on the artistic and aesthetic upbringing tasks, integrating educational, training and developmental aspects, taking into account the criteria of student intelligence and intercultural communication experience. Art and aesthetic education is universal: all directions can be used for developing tastes, interests, intensify creative search, which facilitates the transfer of acquired knowledge into beliefs.
