Abstract
Two previous articles (ibid., vol.10, p.440 of 1975 and vol.11, p.111 of 1976) covered most of the kinds of integrated circuits commonly used in digital layouts. The discussion was related particularly to TTL circuits. In the present article, arithmetic operations are discussed, giving one of the commonest of the applications of TTL circuitry. The operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are considered.
