Abstract

Abstract The intensity of unpolarised light after passing through a polariser is halved. This is a well-documented fact in contemporary textbooks. But how do their amplitudes compare before and after passing through the polariser? This is not mentioned in textbooks, and hence it is our intention to discuss this in this frontline.
