Abstract

Introduction: Rugby sevens is rapidly growing in popularity in Australia. Evidence from other team ball sports suggests that the number and nature of injuries sustained by men and women differ and likely require different injury prevention priorities. Only a small body of epidemiological research into injuries exists for rugby sevens and has primarily been conducted in men. This study aimed to describe and compare injury profiles in men and women professional Australian rugby sevens players.
