Abstract

This study was carried out with the aim of determining the differences, similarities and variations in terms of some physical and chemical properties including 13 quantitative characters between 38 peach genotypes pre-selected from two native peach populations called as “Zeferan” and “Ağşeftali” and two standard cultivars in Aras Valley. Principal component (PCA) and cluster analysis were performed for this purpose. PCA showed the first four principal component made up 79.89% of total multivariate variation between genotypes. Cluster analysis illustrated genotypes divided into 5 groups. It is considered that this work evaluating the peach population in point of some fruit traits in the region, has produced important information for fruit breeders.
