Abstract

Ever since the beginning of the crisis in the Gulf on August 2, we have been told that this is the first crisis of the "new world order." This new world order was created following the collapse of the Soviet bloc and the end of the Cold War, which was formally marked on July 5, 1990, at the two-day NATO summit in London.
