Abstract

Several approaches to the theory of high temperature superconductivity are discussed. These include weak and strong coupling approaches as well as phase fluctuation and renormalized quasi particle approaches to under doped materials. Quasi particles in short coherence length superconductors are shown to depress the order parameter in their vicinity, leading to antiphase domain walls of many quasi particles.
