APPROACHES TO ASSESSING THE EFFICIENCY OF THE REGIONAL INNOVATION SYSTEM FUNCTIONING

Abstract

The article reveals modern approaches to assessing the effectiveness of the region's innovation system, which take into account the peculiarities of the socio-economic development of territories. The factors that form the sustainability of the development of the region's economy are analyzed. The concept of the innovative potential of the region as the main element of assessing the effectiveness of the regional innovation system is considered. Approaches to the interpretation of the concept of “efficiency” are studied. The existing methods for evaluating the effectiveness of the functioning of innovative systems in the region are analyzed. The effectiveness of various socioeconomic systems and methods for determining economic efficiency are analyzed. An approach is presented to determine the effectiveness of the innovation system of the region in the conditions of modern economic relations, taking into account regional characteristics. Based on the presented approaches, the innovative activity in the Republic of Bashkortostan is analyzed.
 The relevance of the study is determined by the need to accelerate the transition of the Russian economy to the path of technological development in the face of sanctions pressure from Western countries, restrictions on the supply of imported equipment and components. With the successful implementation of this policy, there is an opportunity for strategizing, adjusting and improving the efficiency of the economy. The above facts testify to the timeliness of research into the issues of the effectiveness of innovation activity. For effective management of innovation activities, a qualitative analysis of this area is necessary.
