Abstract
Educational technologies are more and more important for the higher education. The applications and developments of emerging educational technology proposed by The Horizon Report (Higher Education Edition) in the past five years were summarized. The key technological trends in the reports were compared and analyzed. The effects of artificial intelligence on teaching, learning and creative inquiry were emphasized. Based on the previous analysis, the evolution of intelligent technology, interactive technology and engineering innovation are pointed out.
