Abstract

GOOSE message is an important part in the substation. In this paper, the HMAC algorithm is applied to the security reinforcement of the substation GOOSE message. The integrity and sender identity can be verified at the receiving end of the message. This paper discusses the HMAC process of intelligent substation. The network delay simulation is researched by OPNET software. It is verified that the GOOSE message transmission performance after HMAC can meet the requirement of substation.
