Abstract

The traditional auto-transfer-switch devices are equipped independently and not exchange information. Therefore, with basic auto-transfer-switch devices, the power supply recovery for the whole regional power grid cannot be carried out rapidly, and there is a risk of multi-priority coordination failure.Aiming at the stability of large numbers of distributed generators connected to the new distribution network and the information exchange of auto-transfer-switch device of each station, a multi-layer regional auto-transfer-switch devices technology based on 5G wireless communication is proposed. Using the characteristics of low delay and high bandwidth of 5G wireless communication, the sampling point interpolation synchronization method is adopted to achieve accurate fault location and isolation, and effectively reduce the workload of terminal operation and maintenance. The communication performance test of this technology is carried out in the demonstration project, and the results meet the expectations, which provides a new direction for the auto-transfer-switch in regional distribution power grid.
