Abstract

Objective To evaluate the application of wide field inversion lens system for treatment of posterior segment eye trauma. Methods Wide field inversion lens system with cryoretinopexy under microscope were applied in 12 cases (12 eyes) of traumatic retinal detachment (experimental group). The routine contact viewing lenses with cryoretinopexy under microscope were applied in 12 cases(12 eyes)of traumatic retinal detachment(control group). The operative time, retinal reattachment, visual acuity and complication were analyzed.Result There was no significant difference in the cure rate between the two groups (x2 =0.0000,P =1.0000).There was significant difference in the operative time between the two groups (x2 =11.1933,P =0.0000).There was no significant difference in the visual acuity between the two groups (x2 =0.2526,P =0.6145).There was no significant difference in the complication between two groups (x2 =0.1875,P =0.6644).Conclusion Wide field inversion lens system can simplify operation procedure and shorten surgical time. Key words: Wide field inversion lens system; Eye injury
