Abstract

Researches into the propagation of surface acoustic waves in layered piezoelectric media have long been of great interest [l]. As we known, there exit initial stresses in the layer during the manufacture process of acoustic surface wave devices. The present study involves the application of the matrix method to analyze the effect of the inhomogenous initial stresses on the Love wave mode and dispersion behavior in a layered piezoelectric ceramic. The initial stresses in the thin layer are assumed to have depth dependent properties.
