Abstract
The image segmentation is the basic prerequisite step of the image recognition and image understanding. There are many existing image segmentation methods. This paper mainly introduces the use of the watershed algorithm in some specific image segmentation and its advantages over other segmentation methods, which is illustrated through the image segmentation experiment of the number of the sticky rice grains.
