Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effects of problem-based learning(PBL) in cardiovascular medicine.Methods We choosed two classes of the 2007 grade paediatric department practicing in Cardiovascular medicine.The one calss was trial group(n =48),the other was control group(n =47).PBL method was used in trial group,lecture-based learning(LBL) was used in control group.The examination scores of students in two classes and the questionnaire survey results were compared,the effect of two kinds of teaching methods was discussed.Results The distribution of scores of students in trial group prior to that of control group(x2 =7.407,P =0.025),The trial group students showed greater interest in learning,more active and more confident than the control group students (U < 0.001,P =0.009).Conclusions PBL teaching method can obtain better effects than LBL in clinical teaching of cardiovascular medicine.
