Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of the point massage on alleviating the postoperative pain of ureteroscopy laser lithotripsy patients .Methods Eighty ureteroscopy laser lithotripsy patients without the postoperative analgesia pump were chosen and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table , each with 40 cases.The control group received the comfortable nursing , and the observation group received the point massage combined with the comfortable nursing .The degree of postoperative pain was assessed by the visual analog scale ( VAS ) , and the patients ’ satisfaction of nursing work was compared between two groups .Results The difference of the VAS score between two groups before the operation was not statistically significant(P〉0.05).The scores of VAS on the first, second day after the operation and before discharging were respectively (3.98 ±1.121),(1.18 ±0.747),(0.83 ±0.781) in the observation group, and were lower than (5.08 ±1.457),(3.08 ±1.228),(1.78 ±1.097) in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (t =3.785,8.361,4.461, respectively; P〈0.05).The percent of patients with satisfaction was 92.5% in the observation group, and was 72.5% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(Z=-2.316,P〈0.05).Conclusions Application of the point massage combined with the comfortable nursing can effectively alleviate the postoperative pain of ureteroscopy laser lithotripsy patients , and improve the patients ’ satisfaction of nursing work .
