Abstract

The prediction of yearly average sound levels around sources is presently performed by empirical methods that are not sensitive to local climatological and ground conditions. In this paper a computationally efficient method is developed for using the fast field program to produce yearly average sound level predictions. The method can also be used to investigate the variation of average level with different ground conditions, and with varying climatological conditions.
