Abstract

Objective To investigate the mode of clinical assistant teaching for student nurse interns.Methods The teaching method of clinical pathway was used in assistant teaching for 40 student nurse interns in our department during April to December 2011.40 student nurse interns who had received traditional teaching methods during April to December 2010 were used as control.The examination results for the corresponding theory and practice,nurse-patient communication,and health education at the completion of the neurosurgical internship were compared between the two groups.Results The study group was superior to the control group in the examination results for theory and practice,nurse-patient communication,and health education,with a statistical significance ( P < 0.05 ).Conclusions The teaching method of clinical pathway is better than traditional teaching methods and is helpful in the improvement of students' comprehensive quality Key words: Teaching method of clinical pathway; Neurosurgery; Interns; Clinical assistantteaching
