Abstract

Objective To probe the application effect of quality control circle (QCC) activity in increasing positive rate of the peritoneal dialysis fluid culture for peritoneal dialysis-related peritonitis patients. Methods QCC team was founded to determine the theme and activity plan. The target was set to increase the positive rate of peritoneal dialysis fluid to 87.30%. Through brainstorming, fish bone map analysis, we found the true causes, formulated the countermeasures, implemented the countermeasures to improve the positive rate of abdominal fluid culture and improve continuously quality. Results The positive rate of the peritoneal dialysis fluid culture of peritoneal dialysis-related peritonitis patients was 89.36% after QCC activity, which significantly increased compared with 70.27% before the implementation of the QCC. Conclusion The quality of dialysis can be improved by improving the positive rate of pathogenic bacteria in peritoneal dialysis -related peritonitis by the implementation of all the work of quality control circle.
