Abstract

Objective To explore the application effect of PDCA cycle in the pre-job training of new nurses. Methods 50 nurses new coming in 2015 and 2016 were selected as control group and experimental group respectively. The experimental group was trained with PDCA cycle mode, while the control group was trained with traditional training model. Finally, compared the training effect of two groups. Results The result of examination of theoretical knowledge, skills, comprehensive ability in the experimental group were better than those in the control group (P<0.05). 94% of new nurses in the experimental group supported PDCA cycle training mode, and 62% of new nurses in the control group supported traditional training model. Conclusion PDCA cycle mode is helpful to improve the effectiveness of training in new nurses, improve the quality of care, and is easily accepted by new nurses.
