Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of PBL teaching method in clinical nursing teaching. Methods The students were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group. The control group were traditionally taught and the experimental group were taught with PBL teaching method. Questionaire and written theory examination were used to evaluate the effect. Results The score of written theory examination was (86.8±3.7) in the experimental group and was (83.5±3.6) in the control group, with a statistical difference (P<0.05), indicating that PBL teaching method could improve the students’ abilities, such as searching and sharing data, expressing theirselves, having clear goal. Conclusions The application of PBL teaching method in clinical nursing teaching can improve students’learning skills, ability of independent thinking, and analyzing and solving problem.
