Abstract

Objective To explore Orem self-management programme in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods From June 2010 to April 2013, 76 cases of chronic heart failure enrolled in our hospital were collected group and randomly separated into 2 groups: 32 cases of control and 44 cases of Orem group. Results Compared with control, hospital stay was significantly shorten (P<0.05), Benack score was significantly lower (P<0.05), satisfaction was higher (P<0.05) in Orem group.And six months of re-admission patients in both groups had no significant difference. Conclusion Orem self-management programme is conducive to chronic heart failure patient self care, with improved quality life and better prognosis.
