Abstract
This paper describes application of neural network for detection and classification of faults in internal combustion engine (ICE). There are several types of faults in ICE and some of them could be diagnosed through the change of ignition voltage on the spark plugs. Therefore, measuring of the ignition voltages in two faulty states and nominal mode of ignition system is performed. It is shown that neural network can recognize presence of faults with 100% accuracy.
