Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of using multimedia technologies in the educational process in the conditions of war and modern geopolitical challenges. The pandemic and war have become a new challenge in the higher education system. However, the education system quickly adapted to the current realities and is trying hard to continue providing educational services. The rapid development of information technologies, not only in the production spheres, but also in the sphere of education, make it possible to study anywhere and at any time. And multimedia educational systems play a key role in this, it was based on them that education was organized and continued in the conditions of a pandemic and war. The article analyzes the state and development of educational multimedia technologies. The reasons for the emergence of multimedia technologies in education are given. The meaning of the concept of "multimedia education" is revealed. The article reveals the polysemic meaning of the term multimedia, shows the cognitive nature of multimedia education. Differences in learning technologies when using multimedia and the advantages of their use are shown.
