Abstract

It is difficult to deal with the essential boundary conditions and the discontinuous medium boundary conditions for element-free galerkin method (EFG), because of the particularity of approximation function. In this paper, we use the visual principle to deal with discontinuous media boundary conditions equivalently. We apply discontinuous boundaries and essential boundary conditions to this method in a simpler way. This approach simplifies the processing of complex boundaries. In the article, the method is used to deal with the inhomogeneous medium model. The comparison between the exact solution and the numerical solution shows that the method is feasible and effective.
