Abstract

By means of a medium-high-resolution (0.05 cm −1) CARS system we have resolved the ring-puckering “hot-band” structure of the ring-breathing vibration of normal trimethylene oxide ( n-TMO). The observed structure is assigned to vibrational transitions originating from various levels of the ring-puckering vibrations.
