Abstract
Firstly, the principle of medical infrared thermography in the diagnosis of human internal lesions is described. Then the system composition, performance index and working environment of infrared thermal imager suitable for medical application are studied. These are the premise and key to get correct infrared thermal image. Finally, the clinical value of infrared thermal imaging technology is illustrated by the case of diagnosis of plantar fasciitis. Infrared thermography and clinical datas of 43 patients with plantar fasciitis were analyzed. The healthy feet of 30 healthy volunteers were taken as the control group. The results showed that infrared thermography of 60 healthy feet in 30 cases showed bilateral symmetry. The infrared thermography of 68 affected feet of 43 patients can be divided into three categories: 22 feet showed high temperature, 22 feet showed mixed temperature and 24 feet showed low temperature. There were significant differences between the three groups (P < 0.05); the degree of pain in the lesion area of the high temperature group, the mixed temperature group and the low temperature group were (6.890.56), (7.010.67) and (6.980.74), respectively. There was no significant difference between the three groups and between the two groups (P > 0.05).
